Obama: Biden one of ‘finest’ vice president in history

President Obama is refusing to say whom he will support in the 2016 presidential election, but that’s not stopping him from pouring accolades on Vice President Biden, who is considering jumping into the race.

“I think Joe will go down as one of the finest vice presidents in history, and one of the more consequential,” Obama said in an interview on “60 Minutes” on Sunday. “I think he has done great work.”
When asked about whether he wants Biden to enter the race, the president said he will “let Joe make that decision.”

Obama said he did not know Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton used a private email server while serving as his secretary of State, but said it was “not a situation in which America’s national security was endangered.”

He said it is “important for her to answer these questions,” but said voters “can make their own judgment.”

“I’m going to leave it to Hillary when she has an interview with you to address these questions,” Obama said.
