The lawyers of Winnie Madikizela-Mandela have confirmed that their client will appeal the ruling of the High Court in Mthatha in the Eastern Cape.
On Thursday, the court dismissed with costs Madikizela-Mandela’s application for the ownership of the home of former president Nelson Mandela in Qunu outside Mthatha.
The AbaThembu Royal family has welcomed the court judgment.
However, Madikizela-Mandela’s lawyer, Advocate Mvuzo Notyesi says the case has not yet been finalised because they will file the appeal application next week.
“The process is already in motion. We have to work out and prepare the application, draw the papers and all that staff.”
You know the judgment was only delivered on Thursday, so there is all that process that has to be put into place and then we move on from there.”
