5-year old burnt to death

Limpopo police on Monday reported a 5-year-old girl was burnt to death in a shack fire in Ga-Kgapane, Bolobedu, outside Tzaneen, over the weekend.

Lebogang Ramahlo was asleep in a shack when it caught fire while her mother was away, Lieutenant Colonel Moatshe Ngoepe said.

According to News 24 report the cause of the fire is not clear, but initial investigations indicated it may have been caused by a stove fire in the shack.

An inquest docket was opened.
