Four detainees have escaped from the prison Correctional facility in the North West.
The Correctional Services Department says a man hunt has been launched for the detainees who are said to be dangerous.
The department’s spokesperson Sarie Peens says in the early hours of Wednesday morning, five offenders tried to escape but only four of them are still at large.
One was recaptured while he was still on the roof of the correctional facility.
Peens says: “They managed to drag open the cell where they got in and went into the ceiling and then they made a hole in one of the fences and that is how they escaped.”
